With a shared vision to create high quality custom furnishings and cabinetry, Two Degrees North was originally formed in 1998 by Simon Cooper and Jim Marshall; fellow students at Sheridan College, School of Craft and Design who met while studying furniture design. Today, the company is solely owned by Simon Cooper who passionately leads a highly knowledgeable and hard working team of custom builders, cabinetmakers and craftsmen.
Two Degrees North is proud to work with many of Canada’s award winning architects and designers and continually strives to maintain and build new relationships. With a collective 100+ years experience, Simon and the team use this expertise to ensure that high standards are set and achieved in all products manufactured and professionally installed.

Two Degrees North is an 8,000 square foot studio with specific capabilities including: veneering, solid wood construction, cabinetmaking and finishing. We have developed strong associations with complementary companies that can support specialty projects requiring leatherwork, structural steelwork, stainless steel, glasswork, upholstering, CNC laser and water jet cutting.
Located at Keele & St. Clair, just north of the Junction area of Toronto, Two Degrees North is surrounded by a unique community of complimentary trades that often collaborate on projects in the adjoining 7,000 square foot space including: Kai Leather Products Design, Vitreous Glassworks, RC Boisjoli Quality Ceramics studios and Jan’s Workshop (Furniture Repair & Workshop).
Two Degrees North has an extensive portfolio that includes retail and commercial installations, limited production furniture lines and award winning architect designed residences. We are committed to providing you with exceptional architectural millwork and custom cabinetry.
Our client relationship typically begins in the early planning stages of a project, where our collective experience is a key advantage. Our drafting expert is a trained cabinetmaker at Two Degrees North, able to interpret complex drawings and provide not only a complete understanding, but also give advice and recommendations where necessary to enhance the final product. We work with architects and designers to ensure their vision is achieved.
Specific capabilities include veneering, solid wood cabinetmaking and furniture making as well as finishing.
We use top-quality materials that are not only above standard but also environmentally friendly wherever possible. We provide a warranty with all products fabricated and installed.
